I've been a bit of a slacker lately, I know that is a big surprise to everyone but I have. Maybe I've been a slacker as to my own work but I've been busy at The Job for the past few months, building new display racks and finding new business for the bakery.

Seeing as though the weather is going to be clearing up, meaning getting warmer, I should be able to finish some of the stencil paintings I've been trying to work on. Spray paint and cold weather don't mix all that well, or at least in a fine art type of setting, so warmer days will help out considerably. I've been doing some of the initial work, prepping canvases, making the stencils and drawing and such, so I have been doing something with my time.

I'm working in many different sizes, from 6 x 6 squares to 25 x 36, an odd size, but I bought a bunch of stretchers at some point that used to be screen printing frames, I like the size, I'll have to make some more in the future when I run out. I have a couple of large canvases hanging around, but I'm unsure if I'll be using them for this project, the project with no name.

For some reason I've been thinking about working on oval canvases, I like the idea of doing a shaped canvas for portraits, maybe with a little color, pinks and greens are coming to mind, with the stencil look of course. I may start doing some paint on wood stuff soon as well, if the shaped canvases don't look all that great, an oval portrait on wood sounds appealing. We will see.
