I've been neglecting posting stuff much of late, most likely due to the fact I don't really have much to say at this moment in time. I've been working on various projects, a couple of bikes, designing a drawing table and some folding tables, and working on some projects for "work" to make life easier over there. We've been busy at the bakery for the last month or so, we recently bought another company and are trying to integrate it into the existing schedule. This is proving to be harder than I thought it would be, but I think I'll figure it out my portion sometime soon. On the plus side, I get a raise.
Back to the personal projects, the bikes are coming along nicely, if not slowly. The cruiser bike is currently being stripped of paint, it had a fine coating of brushed "peach" house paint on it that was originals school bus yellow. The bike is completely torn apart and awaiting the new paint, flat black of course. I'm still collecting some parts for it, just some little things like pedals, springer fork, a new seat and such. The wooden bike is still in the design faze. I'm working on the dimensions of the frame as full size drawings before I commit to cutting any wood. I should have some of the images up shortly, but I keep forgetting to scan the images. Not that long ago, I decided that I wanted to recreate a drawing table that my grandfather had that has been in my possession for some time. I don't really need a new drawing table, but I just want to make one for some reason, maybe to bring to the next show I'm in or something. I like the design of this table, simple and to the point kind of thing, adjustable height and angle and that's about it. The plan is to make a few changes, a built in pencil tray maybe, but keep it the same for the most part. This should be done mid summer, depending on how much wood costs. |
