Due to the constant prodding of my so called friends, I have succumbed and created a twitter account. Don't expect much.

I wrote a small feature on wooden toy cars for Gapers Block, the second in a series of how to articles I’m planning to write. These cars are a few things I wanted to make for some time, especially the jeep.

I did my basic hand cut stencil on wood for the jeep and painted it with flat black spray paint, then cut to shape. The look of the jeep was to be the look of the real jeep, the one in a coma in the garage that will more than likely never run again. I just wanted something that I could look at.

The other cars I made are a sports car a sedan and a cta articulated bus. I think I will have some busses at the next DIY Trunk Show, so keep an eye out for that.

This week in the Gapers Block A/C section, you can learn how to make my Slatted End-Grain Side Table. This is the first in what I hope to be a series of how to feature articles for A/C, stuff people can build or make at home that's a bit different. Not everything will be furniture, some of the projects will revolve around home decor, entertainment ideas, backyard parties and the like.

In doing this, I hope to generate some ideas for my own furniture and decor that I will more than likely sell at some shows down the line. I have a few more ideas for the Slatted line, credenza, wall mounted coat rack, a desk, room divider and the like, so keep an eye out for future posts regarding those here and other stuff on GB.

I Know you've missed me over the last few months, and I know you are in dire need of greeting cards and small art pieces for your holiday gift giving, so why not visit me at the fifth installment of the DIY Trunk Show on November 22nd at the Pulaski Park Auditorium. I will have all my classic cards, as well as a few newish cards and tons of small prints of the digital paintings I've been working on for the past year or so, and a few bigger paintings as well. i haven't been in a writing mood for some time, i have been doing these digital paintings instead, playing around with source material and what not. i started to do these as a way to make imagery during the cold months when i couldn't go outside to spray paint stuff, but i seem to enjoy working this way, i am not going to stop painting in my traditional method, i still like making the stencils and all, i just want to have a way to make multiples of some images for sale at shows.

Sorry for the lack of posting, I’ve been a bit of a nomad computer wise of late, I’ve been sharing one and time is not in my favor. Hopefully that will change soon. I’m looking into getting a new one soon, then post-a-paloza for all the sites I should be posting on.

I've been making some new images out of older images, remixing if you will, just for fun. During the winter, I can't really do much spray painting, winter and spray paint don’t mix, so making images digitally seems to work, and I can layer stuff a bit more as opposed to just paper on canvas.

I’m having fun making this stuff, and I’ve been printing them for sale at craft shows out and about, DIY trunk show and the upcoming Art Vs. Craft on December 8th in Milwaukee. If you happen to be in town, stop by and visit me.
